Dr. Adihetty is a Board-Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist and a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist who has been in practice for over 12 years. After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, one of the most prestigious Medical Schools in Sri Lanka, he completed his General Psychiatry residency at Summa Health System and Cleveland Clinic in Akron, OH, (affiliated with Northeastern Ohio Medical University). Thereafter he completed his Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship, at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Akron, OH.
Since 2010, he has been working for the Harris Center for Mental illness and IDD as a Child & Adolescent and as an Adult psychiatrist. He serves as the Lead Psychiatrist at the Northeast clinic of the Harris Center. He is also a relief psychiatrist at the Neuropsychiatric Center & Crisis Stabilization Unit at the Houston Medical Center. He provided services as a Child and Adolescent psychiatrist at the Legacy community Health system’s afterhours clinic, in Houston TX, until 2017.
Dr. Adihetty is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (Since 2010) , a member of the American Psychiatric Association (since 2005) and American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (since 2007).
Dr. Adihetty is well-resourced with a wealth of knowledge and experience in treating Adults & Children with mild to severe mental illnesses in diverse psychiatric treatment settings.
